About
Hey there, I’m Eliza!
Over the years, I’ve learned a few things doing this work. Being invited into the most important moments of people’s lives is a privilege I never take lightly. The truest photos come from letting things be as they are rather than trying to perfect every corner of the day. Your photos are a record of your life, and you shouldn’t have to perform for a camera. Live in your day, feel it fully, and let the moments unfold. That’s what you’ll carry with you forever.
My love for photography started early, surrounded by family scrapbooks and film photos that held the stories of our lives and the legacy they created. I spent hours flipping through those albums, lingering on the small moments and noticing how much they held. I learned early that photos aren’t just images. They’re a way of remembering people, seasons, and the feeling of being there. That understanding is still at the heart of what I do today.
I photograph with presence and care, staying grounded in both the chaos and the calm so that what I capture feels like the way the day actually felt. My style follows the energy of the people in front of me, sometimes quiet and observant, sometimes joyful and bold. It moves with you.
My approach blends documentary presence with an editorial eye. I’m observant first, allowing moments to unfold naturally, while stepping in with gentle direction when needed, such as during family portraits or couples portraits. The heart of my work lives in real connection, the way people move toward one another, the quiet in-between moments, and the energy of being together. With thoughtful composition and care, those moments become a collection that feels honest, emotional, and artful. Images you can feel and return to, and images made to be lingered over.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me painting, rock climbing, finishing my degree in education, or singing along to a jazz record while cooking pasta. Midwest born and grown, I’m still exploring the cozy corners of New England, stopping in local cafes and savoring a cup of tea.
I’m so glad you’re here, and I can’t wait to be in touch!
